Strategies For Life: Counselling Program
Support for your learning disability — and your overall mental well-being (Ages 15+)
Strategies for Life offers individualized, one-to-one counselling for youth and adults who have been diagnosed with, or who suspect they may have, a Learning Disability (LD) and/or ADHD.
Living with LD or ADHD can affect much more than academics. It can influence self-esteem, anxiety, motivation, relationships, emotional regulation, and overall mental health.
Our counselling program supports both the practical challenges and the emotional experiences that often come with learning disabilities. Sessions provide a safe, supportive space to explore your experiences, build resilience, and develop strategies that strengthen both your mental well-being and daily functioning.
In our personalized counselling sessions, we focus on:
- Supporting overall mental health and emotional well-being
- Teaching practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
- Strengthening confidence and self-advocacy skills
- Building emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Exploring and understanding your diagnosis, strengths, and challenges
- Helping you set realistic, achievable goals
- Improving relationships and communication skills
