Social Skills Program

 If you are looking for our social skills groups, we have partnered with the Town of Aurora, the Town of Newmarket, and the City of Vaughan to bring our popular programs closer to you! Register Today!

Our social coaches guide students through fun, interactive activities to develop key social skills. The program is based on the evidence-based PEERS® curriculum for social skills training.

Program Information

What social and emotional skills will be learned?

  • Interpersonal skills: communication, listening, and friendship building
  • Emotional regulation: managing feelings, coping with stress
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Self-advocacy
  • Building self-esteem
  • Bullying and cyberbullying awareness

Who is the program designed for?

Children ages 8–12 with a primary diagnosis of Learning Disability (LD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who may:

  • Avoid social contact
  • Behave immaturely
  • Be shy or timid in groups
  • Frequently fight with peers
  • Display a lack of self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Enjoy meeting other children with LD and/or ADHD
