Psychoeducational Assessments for Children and Adults

Understand the challenges. Recognize the strengths. Find a path forward.

When learning, attention, or academic performance doesn't reflect effort or ability, a psychoeducational assessment can help explain why. We assess cognitive abilities, academic skills, and other factors affecting learning and performance to identify strengths, clarify challenges, and guide practical next steps.

What Does a Psychoeducational Assessment Evaluate?

Cognitive Abilities

How a person reasons, solves problems, remembers information, and processes information.

Academic Skills

Reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics, including assessment for learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

Attention and Executive Functioning

Focus, organization, planning, and managing tasks, including assessment for ADHD when indicated by the referral concerns.

Emotional and Behavioural Factors

Anxiety, mood, and other concerns that may affect learning and performance.
