Episode Description:
Learning disabilities often shape our earliest school experiences, influencing how we see ourselves, how we learn, and how we find our voice. Understanding these beginnings is key to building empathy, confidence, and stronger support systems for individuals with LDs.
In this episode, cohosts Anthony Savonarota and Angelica Goncalves are joined by Cathy Ng, Department Head of Student Services, and Elisa Blasi, our first ever Champion Ambassador for an honest and insightful conversation about the early realities of living with and supporting learning disabilities.
Together, they explore how early identification, support systems, and representation influence the paths of individuals with learning disabilities. From navigating school without relatable role models to creating inclusive spaces where students feel empowered to share their stories, this episode highlights both the challenges and the growth that come from those early experiences, and explores the beginnings of our Champion Platform.
It invites listeners to reflect on how far they’ve come, and how we can continue building environments where every learner feels seen, supported, and capable of success.
